Golf
We have several golf courses in the area which allow guest players.
Schönau - 9 holes and has fairways which are playable in every weather.
Check the web for other courses which allow guests ( often using the “fern “ membership – free of charge!)
Tennis court and swimming pool can be used
( for a small hourly fee) in Hotel Hirschen right next door!
If you’re looking for something to do that’s that little bit different, here are a few ideas :
Paragliding
Courses start from € 75 per day – the starter course is 3 days long.
It is possible to fly tandem with fully qualified and licensed pilots for E 90.
The school is ten minutes away in Schönau and English is spoken.

Off piste on a snowboard, being pulled by a kite, through the snow !
This is available for groups as well as singles and couples.
A two day course costs around € 195 – but it’s well worth it!!!
Gliding
Founded in 1907, this is one of the oldest flying sport clubs in
Members the club allows adults and children over 14 to experience gliding.
You can try out gliding for around € 26 for about 15 minutes ( depending on wind conditions) from Kirchzarten.
Try out Ultra light for € 50 ( around 30 minutes ) from Freiburg Airfield.

Climbing
Try out climbing in super conditions. All you need is a pair of indoor trainers and away you go! € 15 will buy you a try out course for 1.5 hours ( this includes harness, entry fee and qualified teacher.

+ about € 20.00 or an instructor ( per hour ) Instructor must be booked extra!
Saturdays there is a parent & child course and costs €10.00 per person ( this includes instructor).
Climbing in Todtnau – Klettergarten

The climbs rang from 15 – 35 Meters.
This sport started in 1880 and is still going strong!
The “ hang” is south facing so always enjoys full sun ( weather permitting of course!)
One of the faces is closed from January – end July due to nesting protected birds.
A book is available for the Todtnau – Klettergarten at a cost of € 8.00 + p&p ( where necessary).
Ice climbing also possible!!!
